CASE Program: Community Assistance Supplies and Essentials

The CASE (Community Assistance Supplies and Essentials) program provides free-of-cost building materials and home essential supplies for individuals and families experiencing an urgent need.

If you or someone you know has limited financial resources and has an urgent need to replace a broken and necessary item or system in a living space, please see below for how to apply to the program for assistance.

Please note that Boston Building Resources is not an emergency service and cannot install items or make repairs.

Example of recent requests:

  • Air Conditioning equipment

  • Windows to replace leaky and broken units

  • Kitchen appliances

  • Roofing materials

Here’s how it works:

  1. Fill out an online application or talk with a BBR staff member

  2. BBR staff will review applications and schedule interviews

  3. If approved, BBR staff will then schedule an in-person or virtual shopping session

If you have a question about a potential material request, please email case@bostonbuildingresources.com. A human will review your email and reply within 24 hours.

If you are not comfortable completing the form in English, please email case@bostonbuildingresources.com and let us know your native language. A staff member will contact you to assist in completing the form.
