Commitment to security
BBR works with trusted third parties who encrypt information when collecting financial contributions or making sales transactions online on our behalf. Personal information we maintain is accessible only by staff and volunteers designated to assist with fundraising activities. Volunteers are not given access to electronically stored personal data.
Personal information that we may collect
BBR collects the following types of personal information: names, postal and email addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, donations of building materials, sales history, and financial contribution history. BBR does not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under the age of 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13.
How BBR may use personal information collected online
BBR will use your personal information for the purpose for which it was submitted, such as to reply to inquiries, process donations of materials, process sales, or process financial contributions. We will use such information to provide operational notices, in program record keeping, and to conduct analyses of our program. Analysis may lead to the publication of aggregate demographic data, but will not result in the reporting or publication of any personal information provided to us. Donors of materials and financial contributors may have their names listed in our annual report. Donors of materials, financial contributors, BBR members, and those who have requested information about either organization will receive occasional requests for financial contributions. If you would like your gifts to remain anonymous, or would like not to receive solicitations, you may email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 617-442-2262, ext. 235.
How your information may be shared
We will release personal information under the following circumstances:
- Where release is required by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation, or is requested by an agency for governmental investigative purposes or governmental proceedings;
- Where there are indications of fraudulent or illegal activity of which a governmental agency should be made aware;
- To appropriate persons, where your communication suggests possible harm to others.
Help us keep your personal information accurate
