Making a Bench (parent-child), Part 2

This class in a parent-child opportunity to team up and make a bench that you can take home. Safety, planning, and proper use of tools will be taught. You will have an opportunity to learn some new skills such as measuring, using a hand saw or table saw, sanding, assembly, using a drill, and finish work. This workshop is designed for parent-child pairs; children should be between the ages of 12 and 18. Registration fee is $180 / $90 / $235 per pair plus a $50 materials fee. 

Mike Wenger is an experienced summer camp woodworking instructor who has taught for nearly twenty summers for Newton Public Schools. Currently, he is helping with a timber framed shed at the Leland St. Garden in Jamaica Plain.
