Online Sales to Members

Products on our website are sold at public (nonmember) prices. When a current BBR member purchases items online, at the public price, the member discount will be applied as a store credit that can be used for your next in-person purchase at the Co-op. Any credit remaining at the end of the year will be refunded to the member in the form of a mailed check.

Co-op Membership

Co-op members receive discounts on all new products from BBR’s consumer cooperative and lower fees for home repair workshops. (Purchases from the Reuse Center at BBR are at the public price level.) Members can access our tradesperson referral file, technical assistance program, and more. The cost for Co-op membership is $35 per year.

Use the code COOPMEMBER to receive member pricing for workshops.

Plus Membership

Plus membership is reserved for those who meet our income guidelines and for nonprofit organizations. For a $20 annual membership fee, Plus members receive all the benefits of Standard membership, plus a significant discount on used/donated materials from the Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources.

Use the code PLUSMEMBER to receive Plus Member pricing for workshops.

For Plus membership, customers must show proof of income by providing a copy of last year’s tax return. Total income should be less than the amount listed for your household size. You will need to renew your membership each year and provide updated proof of income. Plus memberships can be completed in person only, not online.

Nonprofits must provide a copy of their 501(c)(3) determination letter and, to purchase materials sales-tax free, a Massachusetts ST-2 form.

Only the people listed on the application may receive the Plus member discount. Materials may not be purchased for others under your name or by proxy.

Income guidelines for individuals are based on the household size, as follows:

1 person: $93,000
2 people: $106,250
