Plus Membership
Income-eligible customers and nonprofit organizations can become Plus members of Boston Building Resources and receive discount prices at the Reuse Center in addition to all of BBR’s other member benefits. For Plus membership, customers must show proof of income by providing a copy of last year’s tax return or Social Security benefits letter. Nonprofits must provide a copy of their 501(c)(3) determination letter and, to purchase materials sales-tax free, a Massachusetts ST-2 form.
There is a $10 yearly membership fee for all Plus members. You will need to renew your membership each year and provide updated proof of income.
Income guidelines for individuals are based on the household size, as shown in the following table:
| Family Size | Income Limit |
|---|---|
| 1 person | $53,550 |
| 2 people | $61,200 |
| 3 people | $68,850 |
| 4 people | $76,500 |
| 5 people | $82,650 |
| 6 people | $88,750 |
| 7 people | $94,900 |
| 8 people | $101,000 |
Only the people listed on the application may receive the Plus member discount. Materials may not be purchased for others under your name or by proxy.
Because the Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources is a nonprofit organization, we offer discounts to help income-eligible people repair, maintain, and improve their homes at affordable prices. At the same time, the environment benefits when materials are reused rather than sent to landfills.
