When Gabor Paulke came across a set of custom cabinets at the Reuse Center, they were marked way down. “This kitchen was there for a really long time,” he said. “It was a bit beat up and needed to be refinished.”
But the quality was there. Gabor picked up the set at a bargain price with the idea in mind that they could be used in a home he had just bought. He used his professional skills to make drawings for a cabinet maker, who built matching cabinets to round out the pieces he needed.
He put two base cabinets together to make and island. “You have to be creative with what you have,” Gabor said. “The Reuse Center is my favorite place to go.”
